What we thought was a psychological thriller took a supernatural turn towards the end of the series. During lunch, Adele asks Louise if she’s ever seen anyone about her night terrors. Louise thinks that is weird (again, why is she not sprinting out of this situation). ![]() Gym turns to lunch at Adele’s house Adele expresses how David worries about her if she’s not at home at a particular time and that he calls the landline. The beauty of this series so far is that we have no idea what the truth is - most of David’s story is told from Adele’s perspective. David was sneaking into the house to save her. She claims her parents were on a different wing and didn’t make it. While in the sauna, Adele tells Louise that David saved her the night her parents died her family house was on fire, and David helped her. ![]() Louise really struggles on the treadmill at the gym, and Adele laughs at her - they are bonding quickly, despite the red flags. Late in the night, Louise has another nightmare, but it isn’t a terror this time she doesn’t leave her bed, but she does wake up shaking.īefore they go to the gym, Adele heads over to Louise’s place and looks around curiously. Adele seems overly happy to have a friend. Louise texts Adele and they arrange to go to the gym together. Let’s not forget that David’s watch was at the bottom of that well - there’s a dark secret between the married couple that seems to haunt David. When David goes into work, he’s in a terrible mood, and he takes it out on the staff, including Louise. He’s upset about it and remembers when he looked down that well. Back to the present day, and Adele shows David her painting on the wall. Adele raises that it’s important to trust people she confirms that she really loves David. ![]() Rob wonders if David is too old for her and is scared that she will get hurt. In the flashback, Adele is wearing a watch that David owns, and Rob asks about it. In the present day, Adele reads an old notebook of hers. David is irked by the painting on the wall Flashbacks show a well in the woods, and the camera pans down it to show a watch. When they put the phone down, Adele erratically starts painting and reimagines when she was in a forest. In the present day, Adele speaks to David, and she tells him that she’s allowed to be spontaneous. She tells David that she’s met a new friend called Rob. The tension between Adele and Rob increasesīehind Her Eyes episode 2 then treats the audience to a flashback Adele is with Rob on a tree, and a nurse named Marj tells Adele that David is on the phone. There are so many red flags if I were Louise, I’d be out of this dynamic ASAP. ![]() David then rings, and Adele lies about what she’s doing Louise realizes that Adele has an old-school phone, and then they swap numbers. Adele notices the scars on Louise’s wrist she reveals she has night terrors and Adele is interested in what she dreams about. Louise shares that she’s had a divorce and has a child. Adele states she’s never had a job because she’s had money, and she’s hoping to have a baby with David one day. Adele wants to know what David is like at work - Louise calls him “professional and nice”, which is audacious since her lips have been on his. After an unexpected encounter, Louise and Adele enjoy cake and coffee at a cafe. ![]()
